It has been confirmed that Microsoft and Epic have included a digitally redeemable copy of the original Gears of War for Xbox 360 in every of Gears of War: Judgment while "launch quantities" last. Once the launch stock sells out then the offer is no more. Ratings restrictions in Germany prevent the Games on Demand treat bringing joy to the Fatherland. Microsoft releases a new trailer.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on PC "later than Xbox One version"
Xbox head Phil Spencer has announced that the PC release for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be arriving after the Xbox One launch, which isn't that surprising. The Ultimate bundle will be arriving on console August 25th. The PC version was announced at E3 2015 but carried no date. It is a remaster of the original Gears of War game from 2006, and includes 4K support, superior visuals and five missions cut from the original.
Could Gears of War 4 be heading to PC?
Gears of War has had a history of exclusivity with the Xbox platforms. Many would argue that it was always a driving reason to have an Xbox 360 in the first place. That said, there's either some confusion or hints of a Gears of War 4 PC release over on UK-based online retailer GAME.

Bleszinski: 'Old guard' of E3 and mag covers "is dead," community is everything
Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski hopes his "defining legacy" won't just be that series where you're "shooting f*cking lizard-men in the f*cking face with a f*cking chainsaw gun," admitting it wasn't his true vision. Bleszinski also remarks that the 'old guard' of E3 reveals and a cover on magazines "is dead," because YouTube and the like let you and fans get a far greater message across.
Silicon Knights lawsuit against Epic Games going before jury
Too Human developer Silicon Knights will get its long sought after day in US court with their lawsuit against Unreal Engine maker Epic Games. In '07 Silicon sued Epic for failing to "provide a working game engine" for Too Human. Epic were "sabotaging" UE3 licensees for Gears of War.
Cliff Bleszinski wants to see "no disc based games" next-gen
During an AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit, game designer guy Cliff Bleszinski of Epic Games took on the challenge of answering the crazy online world's questions. No discs for next-gen? Bleszinski would love the next Xbox and PlayStation to skip discs. He also reveals he'd love to make a game about "a lost dog who has to find his way home." Awww. Unlimited funds? A Firefly game.
Germany to sell uncut Gears of War 3, a first for the franchise
In a move perhaps marking a new direction for Germany and 'violent' videogames, Epic's Gears of War 3 will be sold completely as intended with no cuts. The blood will run red and not green. Microsoft kept from publishing the first two because of the strict rules in Germany, but the third just needs you over 18.
Rumour: Kinect Gears of War at VGA
Epic Games are apparently set to unveil a Gears of War for use with Kinect at next month's VGA event from Spike TV. It's unclear if it's new or a 're-release'. It could just be a big ol' title update shoved down the Xbox Live pipe for Gears of War 1 and/or 2. Epic's Kinect offering is the Kinect headliner for Microsoft.
Bleszinski wanted more "Band of Brothers" than "dude-bro" for Gears of War
Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski claims he intended Gears of War to have the same vibe as Band of Brothers and "take it a lot more serious." Epic hadn't made a story-based game for a while though. As a result Gears of War didn't strike the serious tone Bleszinski envisioned. Moving forward he wants "Christopher Nolan type dialogue" and much less "Tim Burton or Joel Schumacher".

Epic's Cliff Bleszinski has struck out against the videogames press for apparently 'misquoting' him; he never said Japan was behind US tech. This is the second time we journos have fallen foul of Bleszinski, after he was merely joking that Heavy Rain's child were 'ugly'. We "intentionally" do this?
Judge ruling deals Silicon Knights a serious blow in suit against Epic Games
Chief District Judge James Dever III has dismissed Silicon Knight's key testimony in a lawsuit aimed at Epic Games, which has dealt a serious blow to the developer's case. The court lambasted expert witness Terry Lloyd's damage estimates, calling Lloyd "not qualified" and his testimonial "unreliable and speculative". The testimony which was dismissed by the court was a six part cost breakdown on theoretical lost income due to Epic for allegedly failing to "provide a working game engine" for Too Human. Epic was accused of "sabotaging" Too Human for the sake of Gears of War.
