Enshrouded is due to be released for the PC in early access on the 24th of January, and while PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development, we don’t yet know what their release dates are.
There’s a 16-player co-op survival action RPG to be found with Enshrouded, as players prove their worth in battle together as you raid, gather treasure, and overcome the Fell hordes that ravage the land.
Enshrouded Release Date for PS5 and Xbox Series X
Checked for updates on 8th April, 2024, nothing new.
Current planned release date for consoles: 2025
Developer Keen Games hasn’t said too much about the development of the console versions of Enshrouded yet, but the team likely wants to get through more of the early access period on PC and gather feedback before committing to a release date for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
“Initially, we will bring it to just Steam, but that doesn’t mean we won’t bring it to other platforms later down the line. We just want our launch to go as smoothly as possible, so for the initial early access release we want only the one platform to worry about.” said community manager KeenToast on Reddit.
The encouraging news is that the project is confirmed and currently under development for both platforms. However, it appears unlikely that it will be released for Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
We anticipate learning more about the console release dates later this year. Following the launch of the early access version on January 24th, there’s potential for more detailed information to emerge, possibly through a roadmap or similar update.
The roadmap for 2024 was published on the 13th March, and unfortunately it didn’t mention the console versions, so we can assume that it won’t launch out of early access and onto consoles until at least 2025.
Be sure to check back soon for any new updates or information we might have gathered.
